Each class meets once a week for six weeks and includes two hours of instruction, featuring demonstrations and hands-on guidance from your instructor.

In addition to weekly classes, students have a two-week grace period at the end of the session to finish trimming, glazing, and other work–totaling 8 weeks of studio access.

Open studio hours are available throughout the 6-week instructional period:

• Monday – Friday, 10a – 9p

• Saturday & Sunday, 10a – 5p

This provides ample opportunity to practice outside of class time.

Students may produce up to 3,000 cubic inches of work (calculated as width × length × height). Independent Study students may produce up to 3,500 cubic inches. Additional inches may be purchased in the shop: either $50 for 1,500 cubic inches, or à la carte at $0.10 per cubic inch.

Your first 25 lb bag of clay is included with registration.

All classes are held in our newly renovated front studio, with additional access to the main studio during designated lab hours for making and glazing.

Session 1: January 5 - February 15

Due to high demand, cancellations made at least one week prior to the start of class will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within one week of the class start date will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations made within 5 days of the class start date are non-refundable. Once the class has begun, no refunds will be issued. Unfortunately, we are unable to transfer credits to a future session.

1. I will be out of town for one of the classes. Are there make-up classes or can I participate in another class on a different day?

   Unfortunately, we do not offer make-up classes or allow students to attend another class on a different day. However, you will have access to more than 40 hours of open studio time each week to practice outside of class. We recommend letting your instructor know in advance so they can help guide you on anything you may miss.

2. I’m trying to get into a class, but everything is always sold out. Any tips?

   We understand the frustration. Our classes do fill quickly, sometimes within seconds. To improve your chances, we suggest setting a reminder or alarm so you can register as soon as enrollment opens. You can also fill out our waitlist form to be added to our mailing list and receive early notifications.

3. What are the studio access hours for students?

   • Monday to Friday (Weeks 1–6): 10a to 9p

   • Monday to Friday (Grace Period, Weeks 7 and 8): 10a to 6p

   • Saturday and Sunday: 10a to 5p

4. I have a gift card. Can I use it for a 6-week class?

   Yes. To secure your spot, please register using a credit card, especially if you are signing up on opening day. Once you are enrolled, contact us by email or phone and we will refund your credit card and process the payment using your gift card. We apologize for the extra step, but this is currently the only way we can apply gift cards to class registrations.

5. I tried to register for my friend, but now the class is full.

   To ensure you and your friend can enroll in the same class, we recommend that each of you register at the same time on your own devices as soon as enrollment opens. Spots fill quickly, so acting right away gives you the best chance of getting into the same class.
