Please read carefully and set reminders on your calendars about certain dates and deadlines!

Dear Students,

Thank you for joining us! We’re thrilled to be part of your ceramics journey and look forward to supporting your growth and creativity. Below, you’ll find information about studio etiquette, access hours, and our grace period—please take a moment to review them. Keep scrolling for details about your class, including everything you need to get started. Don’t forget to check your email for updates from the studio and your instructor. We hope you enjoy your time at Green & Bisque Clayhouse and find inspiration in every moment you spend with us.

Important dates & deadlines to remember!

We recommend marking these important dates on your calendars—especially regarding studio closures, extended studio access, and grace period deadlines for bisque and glaze. We understand this can be a bit overwhelming, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns!

We’ll do our best to send reminders about deadlines, studio closures, and other updates, so please make sure to check your emails regularly.

Please note: All student clay and greenware will be discarded on Saturday, June 21st

Session 3 Key Dates and Studio Access

First Day of Session 3:
Monday, May 5th

Last Day of Session 1:
Sunday, June 15th

Cinco De Mayo (May 5th): Classes and regular studio access will continue as usual.

Tortus Workshops (May 7th through 10th): Please watch for an email from me with updates about your class meeting location during these dates.

Mother's Day (May 11th): Sunday classes will continue as usual.

Memorial Day (May 26th): Classes and regular studio access will continue as usual.

Father's Day. (June 15th): Sunday classes will continue as usual.

Studio Access Outside of Class

May 5th through June 15th :

  • Monday–Friday: 10 AM – 9 PM

  • Saturday: 10 AM – 5 PM

  • Sunday: CLOSED (open only for Sunday-specific classes)

June 16th through June 28th (Grace Period):

  • Monday–Friday: 10 AM – 6 PM

  • Saturday: 10 AM – 5 PM

  • Sunday: CLOSED

Important: No more student night access after Monday, June 16th.

We’ll send an email before and during the grace period begins, detailing any extended evening access during that time.

Deadlines

Last Day to Make New Work:

  • Sunday Classes: Sunday, June 15th

  • Monday–Saturday Classes: Saturday, June 14th

(The weeks following are reserved for trimming, attaching, preparing work for the bisque deadline, and glazing.)

Grace Period:

  • Begins: Monday, June 16th

  • Ends: Saturday, June 28th

Bisque Deadline:

  • Friday, June 20th
    All greenware must be placed on the “to be Bisque fired” shelf by the end of the day. It’s okay to place work on the racks that isn’t fully bone dry.

Glaze Deadline:

  • Saturday, June 28th
    All glaze-ware must be on the “to be Glaze fired” shelf by the end of the day.

Note: All work made during this session must be glazed and fired during this session. It cannot be brought back to fire at a later date.

Important Discard Dates

  • All Student Clay Discarded: Saturday, June 21st

  • All Student Greenware Discarded: Saturday, June 21st

Friday, May 16th @ 12 PM PST
