Dear Students,

Thank you for joining us! We’re thrilled to be part of your ceramics journey and look forward to supporting your growth and creativity. Below, you’ll find information about studio etiquette, access hours, and our grace period—please take a moment to review them. Keep scrolling for details about your class, including everything you need to get started. Don’t forget to check your email for updates from the studio and your instructor. We hope you enjoy your time at Green & Bisque Clayhouse and find inspiration in every moment you spend with us.

Important dates & deadlines to remember!

We recommend marking these important dates on your calendars—especially regarding studio closures, extended studio access, and grace period deadlines for bisque and glaze. We understand this can be a bit overwhelming, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns!

We’ll do our best to send reminders about deadlines, studio closures, and other updates, so please make sure to check your emails regularly.

Please note: All student clay and greenware will be discarded on Friday, February 20th

Session 1 Key Dates and Studio Access

First Day of Session 1:
Monday, January 5th

Last Day of Session 1:
Sunday, February 15th

Studio & Holiday Schedule

  • January 19th (MLK Day): Classes and regular studio access continue as usual.

  • February 14 (Valentine’s Day): The studio will be bustling, with private Valentine’s Day events taking place in the classroom and our 6-week course running in the main studio.

  • February 16th (President Day): Classes and regular studio access continue as usual. *Retail shop is closed/no staff available.

Studio Access Outside of Class

January 5th - February 15th

  • Monday–Friday: 10 AM – 9 PM

  • Saturday & Sunday: 10 AM – 5 PM
    (Yay! We’re now offering Sunday access for all students.)

Grace Period: February 16th - March 1st

  • Monday–Friday: 10 AM – 6 PM

  • Saturday & Sunday: 10 AM – 5 PM

Important:

We’ll send a reminder email before and during the grace period with updates on any extended access that may become available.

Deadlines

Last Day to Make New Work:
Sunday, February 15th
(The following weeks are reserved for trimming, attaching, bisque prep, and glazing.)

Grace Period:

  • Begins: Monday, February 16th

  • Ends: Sunday, March 1st

Bisque Deadline:
Sunday, February 22nd
All greenware must be placed on the “To Be Bisque Fired” shelf by end of day. It’s okay if work isn’t fully bone dry.

Glaze Deadline:
Sunday, March 1st
All glaze ware must be on the “To Be Glaze Fired” shelf by end of day.

Note: All work made during this session must be glazed and fired before the end of the grace period. Unfired or unglazed work cannot be brought back later.

Important Discard Dates

  • All Student Clay Discarded: Friday, February 20th

  • All Student Greenware Discarded: Friday, February 20th
