Mr. Moon will be holding TWO 2-day workshops!!

Please note that all events will be spoken in Korean and translated into English by Miki Shim.

1. Advanced Throwing Techniques:
Thursday, October 16th - Friday, October 17th
10am to 4pm

Join master artist MoonDoBang to learn the traditional Korean technique for making a moon jar. Shape and join two large thrown bowls to create this iconic form. With translation by Miki Shim, this workshop includes guided instruction, and a 25lb bag of clay.

2. Create a Traditional Moon Jar:
Saturday, October 18th - Sunday, October 19th
10am to 4pm

Refine your skills in this advanced throwing workshop with renowned ceramicist MoonDoBang. Learn to center and throw over 6 lbs of clay with control and confidence. Focus on form, technique, and scale as MoonDoBang shares insights from decades of practice. Includes hands-on guidance, 25lb bag of clay, and translator Miki Shim.

At the end of the workshop, students can decide if they would like to keep any of the work they made. There is a flat fee of $75. This grants students access to our studio to finish trimming, bisque firing, glazing (we have a selection of 50 cone10 glazes), and glaze firing.

• We will provide basic communal tools but you’re totally welcome to bring your own or purchase from our store!
