    Workshop Description:
    Join us for this 3-hour hands-on workshop led by artist Yunting Li, where you'll explore the timeless art of blue and white porcelain painting. Through guided instruction, you’ll learn about the cultural history, classic motifs, and contemporary interpretations of this centuries-old tradition, while creating your own painted porcelain piece using traditional cobalt underglaze techniques.

  • What to Bring:

    • One or two cone ^10 porcelain bisque pieces of your choice

    • Your own brushes (optional – recommended brushes will also be available for purchase in our Clayhouse shop)

    Included:

    • All painting materials (cobalt underglaze, painting paper, cone 10 clear glaze, sponges, 6B pencils, pens, erasers, utility knives, rulers, KOYUKO ruling tape, chinese ink, and limited number of banding wheels) *BYOB (Bring Your Own Banding wheel if you have one)

    • Glazing and firing of your finished pieces

  • $150

    • I am a beginner, can I take this workshop?
      Yes, all skill levels are welcome.

    • What time is lunch?
      There is no lunch break with this workshop. Please bring your own snacks and water bottles if you need them.

  • Cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to the workshop for a full refund. Cancellations made within 14 days of the workshop are eligible for a 50% refund. About the Artist:
Yunting Li

Yunting brings a unique and deeply rooted perspective to the form. A graduate of Jingdezhen Ceramic University in China, she later pursued further study in Japan, mastering the ceramic traditions of both countries. Her work beautifully merges the elegance of Chinese blue and white porcelain with the refined craftsmanship of Japanese ceramics.
